The Greek Diet : Look and Feel Like a Greek God or Goddess & Lose Up to Ten Pounds in Two Weeks

By Maria Loi

In THE GREEK DIET (William Morrow) world-renowned chef and the “Martha Stewart of Greece” Maria Loi writes with health journalist and former Olympic athlete Sarah Toland to revisit the world’s oldest and most effective diet by going back to the original source: Ancient Greece.  Maria and Sarah use a traditional Mediterranean diet to help readers lose weight easily and healthily, without starving, counting calories, or cutting out carbs, alcohol, fat, or other foods that make life enjoyable.  The Greek Diet combines years of history, scientific study, and the recipes of Chef Maria Loi to create an authentic Mediterranean diet—and the first-ever in the Mediterranean category to promote simple, lasting weight loss. Structured around the Twelve Pillar Foods of the original Greek diet, the book provides 100 healthy traditional Greek recipes. In addition to eating healthy, unprocessed and delicious foods, readers will learn about new research showing the Mediterranean diet as the healthiest food plan in the world, especially noted for its positive effects on heart health.
